The Conclusion of our Story
We have now finished our story. The conclusion is open-ended, meaning we do not know what happens to Charlie. Write a personal response in which you describe what you think happens to Charlie after he leaves New York. Use specific details, examples, and explain why you believe this happens. Your response should be at least 7 sentences.

I personally believe that Charlie moves out of New York and gets a better life. However I don't think that he survives very long. The reason I think he doesn't make it is because Algernon died, and Charlie found that him and Algernon would be affected in the same way. Also his mental status was very strained by the end of the story, for example he spelled laugh laff, and people pepul. The reason I think he goes on to live a better life is because he says he is going to be able to let "pepul" laugh at him. If he can learn to laugh at himself, then he will have a good sense of humor, making people drawn to his personality. That is why I believe that Charlie goes on to live a good life for the time he has left.

I think Charlie survived after he left New York. Even though he wasn't doing well and the operation didn't work. I think Charlie survived after leaving New York because he is the main character and seemed well enough to survive. I also think he survived after the operation because of the letter he wrote to Ms. Kinnian, Dr. Nemur, and Dr. Strauss. He started to forget stuff and become stupid. It turned out that Frank and Joe became his friends. He didn't expect Joe to stop a guy from teasing him. They told him to call them if anyone bothers him.
In the end i think charlie will die. However he will not die quickly. He will get very sick. He will also continue to decline mentally. The death of algernon forshadows a sad ending for charlie too.Only Miss Kinian will mourn his death.
I think that Charlie steadly forgets everything that happend to him. I think this because by the end of the story he is forgeting things that happned over months. I think that he might live for a month or two and then die. Algernon died in about a month so a human should live a little bet longer. Also Charlie isn't very smart and is getting dependent on people around him. This might shorten his life even more. This is what I think will happen.
In my attempt at prediction, my belief is that Charlie will experience intellegence that is bellow his peak at a high rate. However, Charlie will not suffer pain of death just, Charlie may attend another class in New York to achieve acceptable or close success. One with his 68 IQ can function but, may need finnancial assitance and is educatable. Algernon may have died because the average mouse lives for shorter than a human, who averages at sixty-years worlwide compared to the few years a rat lives. I am near certain that Charlie will not take a professional job with a higher intellegence needed such as doctor, politician, lawyer, teacher, designer, engineer, architect, buisnessman, librarian, or any other such job. Charlie should find a suitable wife with a professional job to manage his troubles and provide support for him. Anyway, that is all and good luck to Charlie
I personally think that it could happen. The possibility of him dying is likely, but not certain. While it is true that Algernon died, Algernon is a mouse, and Charlie is a human, so it isn't certain that it will happen. We never hear what happens to any other animals, so Algernon could simply be an isolated case. (If one grenade explodes before the pin is pulled, do all grenades do that? Of course not.) Even more noticeably, Algernon stays intelligent for quite some time longer. Still more, Algernon completely loses his mind over less than a month, while Charlie loses it it over two. This hints that the conditions are different for them, making it unlikely that Charlie, like Algernon, will succumb. What is more, Algernon died a mere seventeen days after the first sign of regression. The first sign of Charlie regressing came on July 5, and fifty-four days later, he remains alive and well. If anything, he should've died first, considering how much the operation altered his mind.
In conclusion, I don't know. There is too little for/ against everything.
